Quem é preso no Distrito Federal?

Abstract

O presente trabalho busca iniciar a identificação daquelas pessoas que são presas no Distrito Federal. Mas não em número, simplesmente. O objetivo é demonstrar, com base no 1º Relatório dos Processos de Criminalização do Núcleo de Audiências de Custódia e Tutela Coletiva dos Presos Provisórios (NAC-DPDF), quem são os defendidos da Defensoria Pública que sofrem a seletividade penal e policial no Distrito Federal. A audiência de custódia, sendo a “porta de entrada” no sistema prisional, representa um termômetro imediato daqueles que são presos pela polícia. Essas pessoas têm cor, renda, grau de escolaridade. É isso que se busca expor, demonstrando um nítido perfil de extrato populacional que sofre as consequências da repressão penal. Com lastro na pesquisa empírica, procura-se realizar um diagnóstico das estratégias de prevenção e tratamento da realidade distrital, apontando as falhas estruturais e potenciais políticas públicas alternativas ao atual estado da arte.
