Hiperuricemia como predictor de preeclampsia severa

Abstract

Introduccion: la preeclampsia es la principal causa de morbimortalidad materna en el mundo. En el Ecuador la zona 3 de salud que comprende las provincias de: Chimborazo, Tungurahua, Cotopaxi y Pastaza); es la de mayor incidencia. Objetivo: determinar si la hiperuricemia es un factor predictivo de preeclampsia en mujeres entre los 24 a 28 semanas de gestación. Método: Estudio de tipo: Analítico, correlacional, retrospectivo, no experimental, de corte transversal en mujeres atendidas en el Hospital General Docente de Riobamba en el período 2021 a 2023. Para la validación de variables se usó prueba tipo Chi cuadrado donde la hipótesis planteada fue: Los niveles de hiperuricemia son predictores de complicaciones en preeclampsia severa según su resultante obstétrico. Resultados: se demostró asociación estadística entre hiperuricemia y desarrollo de preeclampsia en mujeres entre los 24 a 28 semanas de gestación con una incidencia del (51, 11 %), el valor promedio de hiperuricemia asociado a complicaciones obstétricas fue de (6, 5 mg/dl). Las complicaciones obstétricas observadas fueron: Síndrome HELLP, desprendimiento placentario y eclampsia. La capacidad de predicción de complicaciones expresada como valor predictivo positivo fue del (96, 4 %) y el valor predictivo negativo fue del (90, 7 %). Conclusiones: la medición de ácido úrico entre las semanas 24 a 28 de embarazo permite introducir estrategias para disminuir los estragos de la preeclampsia
