ANÁLISE PRELIMINAR DO POTENCIAL HÍDRICO DO PARQUE ESTADUAL DA ILHA DO CARDOSO-CANANÉIA (SP)

Abstract

Os altos índices de precipitação que ocorrem na região da Ilha do Cardoso, de cerca de 2.000 mm/ano, favorecem as captações tanto subterrâneas como superficiais. Os poços rasos das partes rebaixadas da ilha possuem de 3 a 9 m de profundidade, nível estático em torno de 1 a 6 m e vazão de 1 a 3 m3/h. Na Comunidade do Marujá (maior concentração urbana da ilha, com 66 casas), 70 a 80% dos poços apresentaram contaminação proveniente de fossas, devido à alta vulnerabilidade do aqüífero. A exuberante vegetação encontrada nas partes mais elevadas da ilha, controla a vazão dos rios, proporcionando maior recarga do aqüífero (manto e rocha fraturada). Por estes motivos muitos ribeirões têm potencial para o abastecimento das comunidades.
