Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo es caracterizar la marcha diaria de la frecuencia de ocurrencia de observaciones con tormenta para todas las estaciones meteorológicas de Cuba a partir de los registros de código de estado de tiempo presente y pasado. La base de información para el estudio la constituyen los registros de código de estado de tiempo presente y pasado para 68 estaciones meteorológicas del territorio cubano, en el periodo 2005 – 2016 y las diferencias entre las marchas de cada estación se establecerán mediante técnicas de análisis de cluster. Las tormentas eléctricas son un fenómeno con máximo de ocurrencia entre las 16 y las 19 hora local donde la mayoría de las estaciones presentan un máximo absoluto. Las series de por ciento de ocurrencia de observaciones con tormenta por estaciones pueden aunarse en tres grupos, el que se caracteriza porque sus por cientos de ocurrencia en los horarios de baja incidencia son altos con respecto a los otros dos grupos, el que presenta como máximo absoluto las 16 hora local y el que lo tiene a las 19 hora local.
