Abstract

Ganoderma es un grupo de especies de interés comercial y con propiedades terapéuticas. En México existen al menos 20 especies, entre ellas G. curtisii y G. applanatum, las cuales crecen en el estado de Hidalgo. G. curtisii no ha sido explorada en su composición química, mientras que G. applanatum, colectada en otros países, cuenta con varios estudios químicos. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue aislar y caracterizar los principales metabolitos en estas especies para contribuir al conocimiento de la química del género. La separación mediante técnicas cromatográficas de los extractos hexánicos condujo al aislamiento de los esteroles conocidos, ergosterol, estelasterol, peróxido de ergosterol y 5α-ergosta-7,22-dien-3-ona. Su proporción relativa en los extractos se analizó por HPLC y su caracterización se llevó a cabo mediante sus propiedades físicas y espectroscópicas, principalmente por RMN en 1D y 2D, y comparación con datos descritos. Estos esteroles se han reportado en Ganoderma y poseen actividad antioxidante, anticancerígena, antitumoral y antiinflamatoria.
