Abstract

En este trabajo se realiza un estudio sobre la individualidad del bosque relicto del Parque Nacional Fray Jorge; su independencia de los tipos de vegetación circundante, incluida la situación de clímax regional; y sus vínculos biogeográficos con la selva valdiviana de la que pudo haber derivado. Su individualidad e independencia se muestran a través de criterios de similitud (i.s.: índices de Jaccard, Winer y Horn), así como fidelidad, relaciones de abundancia relativa, constancias espacio-temporales y esquemas temporales de diversidad específica (índice de Shannon). Se concluye que la hipótesis de individualidad e independencia del bosque es cierta. Asimismo, se hace una consideración en relación a los coleópteros epígeos como de origen paleantártico, correspondiente al que existe actualmente en Chile Central, con escasos vínculos directos reales con los bosques valdivianos.
