PENGEMBANGAN MODUL IPA TERPADU UNTUK SMP/MTs BERBASIS EKSPERIMEN PADA TEMA FOTOSINTESIS UNTUK MEMBERDAYAKAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengembangkan modul IPA Terpadu berbasis eksperimen pada tema fotosintesis; 2) menganalisis kelayakan modul IPA Terpadu berbasis eksperimen pada tema fotosintesis; 3) menganalisis efektivitas modul IPA Terpadu berbasis eksperimen pada tema fotosintesis terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan 4-D yang diawali dengan define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), disseminate (penyebaran). Kelayakan modul dinilai oleh validator ahli berdasarkan kelayakan isi, bahasa, penyajian, kegrafikaan, keterpaduan, basis eksperimen, dan keterampilan proses sains. Modul kemudian diuji coba terbatas pada 10 siswa. Setelah direvisi, modul diuji coba lapangan pada 32 siswa. Keefektifan modul terhadap keterampilan proses sains dianalisis menggunakan gain score dinormalisasikan untuk pretest-postest kelas uji coba lapangan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) modul IPA Terpadu berbasis eksperimen pada tema fotosintesis memiliki karakteristik sebagai modul yaitu bahan ajar, utuh, berdiri sendiri, adaptif, dan bersahabat, sedangkan karakteristik materi IPA Terpadu yaitu holistik, bermakna, otentik, dan aktif, yang disertai sintaks pembelajaran berbasis eksperimen untuk melatih keterampilan proses sains; 2) modul IPA Terpadu berbasis eksperimen pada tema fotosintesis memiliki kelayakan isi, bahasa, penyajian, kegrafikaan, keterpaduan, basis eksperimen, dan keterampilan proses sains pada kategori sangat baik; 3) modul IPA Terpadu berbasis eksperimen pada tema fotosintesis efektif meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains berdasarkan hasil N-gain score kelas uji coba lapangan yang menunjukkan kategori sedang.
