This paper aims to identify key enablers to improve the mass customization capability. A large-sample survey with the middle and senior managers of manufacturing from Ho Chi Minh city and neighboring provinces was completed. There were 230 responses. The structural equation modeling methodology is used to assess the validity and reliability of the scales, and test the hypothesized relationships described in the framework. The results reveal that product modularity, internal integration, commitment to a long-term relationship and key supplier integration are crucial within mass customization capability. Companies that have high levels of commitment to a long-term relationship, internal integration appear to have better mass customization capability. However, the study is limited to the company position in the supply chain
