Abstract

Neste trabalho objetivou-se comparar as afecções podais de 870 vacas leiteiras, sendo Holandesa (n = 290), Pardo Suíça (n = 290) e Girolanda (n = 290) de 18 rebanhos criados em regimes intensivo e semi-intensivo. Diagnosticou-se 725 lesões, sendo 489 (67,4%) na Holandesa, 128 (17,7%) na Pardo Suíça e 108 (14,9%) na Girolanda. As lesões mais freqüentes foram a laminite crônica (28,7%), laminite subclínica (21,5%), fissura horizontal (9,8%) e fibroma (9,1%). Na avaliação da susceptibilidade e dos fatores de risco das diferentes raças às diversas lesões diagnosticadas, observou-se que os animais da raça Holandesa apresentaram uma porcentagem mais elevada (P 0,05) entre as porcentagens dos animais Pardo Suíça e Girolanda. Os resultados permitem concluir que a raça Holandesa é mais susceptível às afecções podais do que a Pardo Suíça e a Girolanda, não devendo ser descartada a influência de fatores predisponentes, intrínsecos e extrínsecos.
