Abstract

Este trabalho busca apresentar, por meio de imagens e mapas, os impactos da mineração de salgema no município de Maceió, capital do Estado de Alagoas. Por mais de 30 anos a extração mineral aconteceu de maneira concomitante com o crescimento urbano. Com a exaustão das minas e o esvaziamento do subsolo, bairros inteiros são realocados forçosamente, neste que é considerado o maior desastre oriundo da mineração em área urbana do Brasil.
