O franciscanismo econômico

Abstract

O artigo aborda os desdobramentos no Brasil da convocação feita pelo Papa Francisco, para um encontro mundial, em 2020, na cidade italiana de Assis, denominado Economia de Francisco, reunindo jovens, intelectuais e ativistas para repensar o desenvolvimento econômico do planeta. O evento ocorreu remotamente devido à pandemia do Covid-19, mas provocou o surgimento no país da Articulação Brasileira pela Economia de Francisco e Clara, uma rede ecumênica, que reivindica paridade de gênero, radicaliza a proposição papal e se mostra como decorrência do Cristianismo da libertação. Baseado em consulta a textos sobre tema, observação de atividades transmitidas pela internet e entrevistas com jovens participantes dessa rede, o artigo avalia sociologicamente o significado dessa mobilização no país.
