Evolução Tectônica e Magmática da Faixa Ribeira entre o Neoproterozoico e o Paleozoico Inferior na Região Serrana do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil

Abstract

A Região Serrana Fluminense (RSF) é constituída por gnaisses granitóides, paragnaisses e granitos que fazem parte da Faixa Ribeira. Seus aspectos geológicos são estudados há mais de 50 anos por autores que descreveram ortognaisses e granitos dispostos em grandes escamas tectônicas superpostas. Dominios e terrenos tectônicos foram propostos para a Faixa Ribeira, sendo as rochas da RSF incluidas no Terreno Oriental. A evolução tectônica e magmática da RSF se inicia no Cryogeniano com a instalação do arco magmático do Complexo Rio Negro e sedimentação das rochas dos grupos Italva, São Fidélis e Bom Jesus do Itabapoana. Durante a colisão Ediacarana deste arco com uma margem passiva teria ocorrido metamorfismo e geração dos gnaisses migmáticos da Suíte Cordeiro. Seguiu-se à colisão o magmatismo calci-alcalino da Suíte Serra dos Órgãos. Ao final da evolução, a exumação tectônica do conjunto teria originado um colapso tectônico, com a consequente intrusão dos granitos pós-colisionais da Suíte Nova Friburgo durante o Cambro-Ordoviciano.
