ESTRATEGIAS DE LECTURA

Abstract

El proceso de aprendizaje de la lectura ha estado siempre presente en muchas discusiones, tanto en el entorno escolar como en el académico. Enseñar a los alumnos a leer, considerando la lectura como un proceso que conlleva la comprensión del texto y no solamente su descodificación, es tarea de la institución escolar. En este artículo analizamos la enseñanza de las estrategias metacognitivas de lectura. Además de evidenciar la importancia del conocimiento previo, definiremos y exploraremos seis de las estrategias que intervienen en la comprensión lectora: conexión, inferencia, visualización, cuestionamiento, resumen y síntesis, señalando procedimientos de intermediación en la acción docente, demostrando que esa enseñanza permite al estudiante tomar consciencia del material de lectura, ampliar su conocimiento anterior y comprender lo que lee.
