Liderazgo y coaching ontológico. Caso: empresas venezolanas del sector de alimentos y bebidas

Abstract

El artículo tiene como objetivo caracterizar las competencias de coaching, desde el modelo ontológico, en el liderazgo venezolano dentro del sector alimentos y bebidas, con base en los planteamientos de Lussier y Achúa (2011), Zepeda (1999), Echeverría (2005, 2006 y 2011), Bequer (2008), entre otros. La investigación tiene un enfoque epistemológico empirista inductivo, es descriptiva, con diseño no experimental, transeccional y de campo. La población: 70 sujetos (gerentes), en el sector alimentos y bebidas del occidente venezolano, participantes en programas de fortalecimiento del liderazgo a través de coaching organizacional. Se aplicó un cuestionario con escala tipo Likert, validado a través de juicio de expertos y aplicado en prueba piloto. Se determinó su confiabilidad en 0,97 y los datos obtenidos se procesaron y analizaron a través de estadísticas descriptivas e inferenciales. Los resultados indicaron que los gerentes-líderes presentan altas competencias de coaching, destacándose aspectos tales como: la capacidad para crear contexto conversacional, escuchar con profundidad, dominar el uso del lenguaje, con énfasis en la indagación, el manejo de los juicios y la habilidad para hacer uso de las promesas, peticiones y el reclamo respetuoso, encontrándose oportunidad de continuar fortaleciendo la capacidad reflexiva del gerente dentro del proceso de liderazgo.
