Abstract

O artigo aborda os principais trabalhos em clima urbano na literatura internacional recente, atendo-se a investigação da ilha de calor, principal manifestação do clima urbano. Inicialmente, traz-se uma fundamentação teórica sobre clima urbano e ilha de calor, discutindo-se a definição, caracterização, propriedades, tipologia, monitoramento e mitigação das ilhas de calor. A seção seguinte destaca os principais métodos utilizados no tratamento da ilha de calor, a análise de séries temporais, o sensoriamento remoto e a modelagem atmosférica. A última seção ressalta a importância das pesquisas, sugere métodos mais integrados e uma leitura mais consistente da teoria nos trabalhos de ilhas de calor.
