Literacidad crítica y debate escolar

Abstract

El debate escolar representa una alternativa didáctica para el desarrollo de procesos asociados a literacidad crítica en la educación de adolescentes. En el año 2022, se implementó un estudio cualitativo-interpretativo en el bachillerato de la Escuela Tecnológica Instituto Técnico Central (Bogotá, Colombia) con el objetivo fomentar el aprendizaje de la comprensión de fenómenos, la argumentación focalizada y la comunicación asertiva. Los resultados indicaron beneficios específicos de la formación en debate bajo el modelo de competencia World Schools, los cuales condujeron a mejores desempeños de los estudiantes en la organización de información pertinente sobre un fenómeno de estudio; la producción y evaluación estratégica de ideas argumentativas; y, la interacción asertiva en tareas comunicativas grupales. Este artículo presenta la caracterización del escenario educativo en el cual se desarrolló la experiencia, la síntesis conceptual de referencia para el diseño pedagógico e investigativo y el balance de hallazgos y conclusiones.
