CONFLICTOS SOCIO AMBIENTALES INTERCAMPESINOS POR LOS RECURSOS NATURALES

Abstract

Este artículo considera los conflictos entre sectores campesinos acerca del uso de recursos naturales, tales como bosque y madera, en la Península de Osa, localizada en el litoral del Pacífico Sur en Costa Rica. Se analiza distintos puntos de vista de actores sociales y políticos, entre ellos campesinos, instituciones gubernamentales y organismos no gubernamentales. La principal conclusión plantea que los conflictos no llegarán a su fin si los actores locales, nacionales e internacionales, no buscan acuerdos básicos inscritos en una estrategia de desarrollo rural sostenible. La búsqueda debe encaminarse a resolver los principales problemas y necesidades planteadas por la población, en torno a la relación conservación y desarrollo.
