Abstract

El síndrome de desgaste profesional o Burnout es motivo de preocupación actual, e involucra al trabajador como a las personas a quien presta servicio. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal con el objetivo de establecer la presencia de este síndrome en personal de laboratorios clínicos de un hospital público, un hospital privado y un laboratorio privado no hospitalario de la ciudad de Bahía Blanca. La población estuvo conformada por 26 bioquímicos, 9 técnicos y 7 administrativos. Los datos fueron recogidos a través del Maslach Burnout Inventory junto con una encuesta sociodemográfi ca. En los resultados se observó globalmente que un 26% del personal de laboratorio sufre Burnout. Predominó en el hospital público, en el grupo de bioquímicos, seguido por administrativos. En los laboratorios privados solo estuvo presente en sus directores técnicos. En conclusión el burnout está presente en este grupo con una elevada prevalencia al igual que otros trabajadores sanitarios más estudiados.
