Abstract

Como el título lo anuncia, el propósito de este artículo es reflexionar sobre el lugar de las imágenes en la sociedadcontemporánea, pero no solo para constatar la centralidad que desde hace tiempo tienen en nuestra cultura, sino también paracuestionar la supuesta transparencia o visibilidad total que se les adjudica y reconocer las tendencias del escenario audiovisualcontemporáneo que se disputan el sentido de las mismas: el espectáculo y la resistencia audiovisual. Además, en el segundoapartado del artículo se define y caracteriza el nuevo cine argentino prestando atención a su relación con este escenario.
