Mulheres artistas e museus contemporâneos

Abstract

Cada vez mais as mulheres têm ocupado o espaço que é delas por direito dentro do circuito artístico. Isso se fez possível através da maior visibilidade dos temas ligados ao feminismo e das discussões de igualdade de gênero, cada vez mais necessárias. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo demonstrar a presença feminina dentro do contexto dos museus contemporâneos, mais especificamente no Instituto de Arte Contemporânea do Inhotim, articulando reflexões sobre a presença das mulheres artistas nos museus, fazendo um breve estudo de caso e apresentando o feminismo decolonial frente ao panorama artístico. Como forma de embasamento para as análises e discussões, serão apresentados os conceitos de feminismo decolonial, decolonialismo, além de suas derivações através de autores que discutam os temas. Também será apresentado um parâmetro da arte feminina no contexto brasileiro e latino-americano. As metodologias utilizadas para este trabalho são as análises quantitativas e qualitativas, além de revisão bibliográfica e análise de um estudo de caso. Como estudo de caso é trazida a trajetória e as obras da artista Adriana Varejão dentro do complexo do Inhotim.
