EKSPRESI PRODUKSI SUSU PADA SAPI PERAH MASTITIS

Abstract

EXPRESSION OF MILK PRODUCTION ON MASTITIS DAIRY CATTLE ABSTRACT This research was experimental study to find out the effect of mastitis to milk yield in KUTT Suka Makmur Grati, Pasuruan during October 2007. The research showed that 14 cow uninfected and 21 cow infected mastitis. The amount of teat infected mastitis are 40 or 47.6% from 21 cow. This observation showed that the infected teat of mastitis on level mastitis one, two, three and four are 37.5%, 32.5%, 7.5% and 22.5%. The average of milk production that uninfected mastitis are 15.5 lt per day and for infected mastitis have decreased milk production on one until four teat which are 28.4%, 39.4%, 53.5% and 51.6%. Masttitis decreased milk yield as much as 4.4 – 8.3 lt/day/cow or 28.4% - 53.5% and affected on earning loss until Rp.6,160 - Rp.11,620 / day/ cow. It can be conclusion that level of mastitis more high affected on decreased milk yield and earning loss farmer. Increasing sanitation and milking hygiene to be conducted to depress incident and mastitis level. Keyword : mastitis, milk yield, CMT.
