This document of the results of the Fundación Colombia Nuevos Horizontes research: a study from the research, action with the population victim of the armed conflict, 2014-2016. The research follows the critical social paradigm with a qualitative approach. The type of research is Action Research. Based on a participatory diagnosis, five sub-lines are proposed that shape the action: approach, development and scope, as well as reflection, presenting the main findings and conclusions. We review some epistemological, theoretical, conceptual and methodological elements of the Action Research, in relation to volunteering, the family, social sciences and coexistence in the daily life of the organization. It is concluded that sociopolitical violence adds to the daily violence that must be included in the different processes that are reinforced with the beneficiary population and calls attention to the field logics in the research and those that the system requires the Academy.
