Abstract

Este artigo apresenta uma análise interdisciplinar que articula a produção artística de pessoas com autismo, o fenómeno dos estados alterados de consciência e o paralelismo com as práticas ritualísticas de “ mágicos” das tribos antigas. Em diálogo com as ciências das artes, a psicologia e a psicoterapia, propomos uma reflexão sobre a repetição de formas simples e do automatismo presente nas obras de pessoas com autismo, ressaltando a importância da educação artística como instrumento de expressão e de inclusão. A partir de uma revisão bibliográfica e dos dados recolhidos do estudo de caso realizado, investigamos como tais manifestações podem representar, simultaneamente, estratégias de auto-regulação emocional e evocação de dimensões ritualísticas e ancestrais do símbolo.
