Abstract

Se realiza el análisis prospectivo de 60 pacientes con síntomas de insuficiencia arterial periférica de miembros inferiores, comparando la clínica, la arteriografía y el estudio hemodinámico por el efecto Doppler. En el mismo se destaca la importancia del estudio Doppler como un medio semiológico más, que incorporado al estudio funcional del paciente y analizándolo conjuntamente con la arteriografía, se convierte en un aliado invalorable para el diagnóstico de los enfermos vasculares, la decisión terapéutica, el pronóstico funcional y su seguimiento.
