Abstract

Foi feito estudo histoquímico cio tecido hepático em quatro doentes Com Síndrome de Dubin-Johnson-Sprinz, um dos quais estudado, também, por microscopia electrónica. Observou-se a presença de granulações intra-hepatocitárias, castanho-escuras, PAS positivas, ácido-resistentes e com grupos redutores, concluindo-se pela presença concomitante de lipofuscina e melanina. Ao microscópio electrónico essas granulações correspondiam à acumulação de material heterogénio e electron-opaco intra-lisosomático, dispondo-se predominantemente na vizinhança do canaliculo biliar. É revista a natureza do pigmento característico da afecção, de acordo com publicações recentes de índole morfológica e bioquímica, discutindo-se a síndrome de Dubin-Johnson-Sprinz como correspondendo a uma doença lisosomática de armazenamento.
