
This paper has examined the relationship between human resource competencies with business strategies and human resource strategies. In this regard, Office of Iranian Petroleum Company in Tehran was as a study population and 218 subjects were selected from managers and senior executives with using a stratified random sampling. This study was a descriptive – analytical research. Regression and correlation tests were used In order to test hypotheses. The results showed that the first research hypothesis was confirmed, Therefore business strategies have a direct and positive impact on human resource strategies. The second and third hypotheses also were accepted, As a result, business strategies and human resource strategies influence human resource competencies positively and directly. This research also showed that Differentiation strategy has a stronger and more cohesive relationship with human resources competencies in Compared with Cost leadership strategy. Therefore, based on these findings, is suggested that the organizations align their business and human resource strategies, to precise Attract and manage its talents and help for its human resources to obtain human resource competencies and support them.
