Abstract

Стаття присвячена історії розвитку візантології в Новоросійському університеті. Важливу роль у дослідженнях різних аспектів історії та культури середньовічної Візантії відігравало в той час Візантійське відділення Історико-філологічного то­вариства при Новоросійському університеті. У статті відстежується діяльність та­ких вчених-візантологів, як Ф. І. Успенський, В. І. Григорович, Н. Д. Кондаков, О. І. Кирпичников, В. М. Істрін, О. В. Ристенко, Г. В. Флоровський. Особливу увагу в статті приділено працям вчених, які зберігаються у фондах Наукової біб­ліотеки ОНУ імені І. І. Мечникова. Ці праці становлять собою цінність як наукову, так і бібліографічну.
