Perfil nutricional de usuários de um restaurante popular

Abstract

Introdução: Os Restaurantes Populares foram criados com o intuito de ofertar refeições saudáveis e com preços acessíveis, visando a redução de indivíduos em situação de insegurança alimentar. Objetivos: Estimar o perfil nutricional dos usuários do Restaurante Popular de Caxias do Sul-RS. Materiais e Métodos: estudo transversal, com uma amostra de usuários de ambos os sexos, com idade ≤19 anos. Aplicou-se um questionário com informações demográficas, socioeconômicas, antropométricas e de saúde, nos meses de janeiro a março de 2019. Na análise estatística foram utilizados o teste do qui- quadrado de Pearson e o teste U de Mann-Whitney. Resultados: Foram entrevistados 232 usuários, sendo a maioria homens, com 60 anos ou mais e que possuíam até 8 anos de estudo. O excesso de peso na amostra total foi de 68,1%. Ao comparar ambos os sexos, foram encontradas diferenças estatisticamente significativas no tabagismo, consumo de bebidas alcoólicas e na prevalência de obesidade e risco para DCV. Conclusão: O perfil nutricional dos usuários do restaurante popular (RPOP) foi caracterizado por indivíduos que não pertencem ao mercado de trabalho e que possivelmente buscam no restaurante, além de uma refeição de qualidade, uma inclusão social.
