New Highlanders in traditionellen Abwanderungsgebieten der Alpen

Abstract

Observé dans les Alpes françaises dès les années soixante-dix, le phénomène de nouvelles migrations en montagne s'est propagé dans une grande partie des Alpes orientales. La présente étude s'intéresse à la distribution des nouveaux venus selon leurs différentes figures : « remigrants », résidents secondaires, habitants multi-locaux, « migrants de liaison », « new highlander » ou migrants économiques. Elle inclue aussi l’étude des natifs propriétaires de résidences secondaires qui les occupent de façon prolongée.Les effets de ce processus démographique dans les Alpes orientales peuvent être illustrés par deux exemples frioulans. Le premier, situé dans la région de l’îlot linguistique germanophone de Zahre (Sauris), montre l’influence des nouveaux venus, en majorité des Italiens, sur la population autochtone et sur sa culture. Le second présente un cas particulier de repeuplement et, par conséquent, de maintien de villages alpins, à travers la revitalisation des anciens « villages fantômes » du Frioul oriental.
