Abstract

O objetivo deste estudo foi compreender como alguns homens experienciam a homossexualidade atualmente, ou seja, que significados atribuem à própriavivência desse fenômeno. Foram ouvidos sete homens pertencentes à faixa etária entre 40 e 50 anos que se declaram como homossexuais, cujosdepoimentos foram submetidos à análise qualitativa fenomenológica e ao referencial teórico-filosófico de Martin Buber. Os discursos destes homensrevelaram que no decorrer da existência definiram-se como homossexuais, apesar de se sentirem o alvo de preconceitos. Percebem-se estigmatizados pelasociedade, recusam-se a personificar estereótipos e preferem buscar a integração social a viver em guetos.
