Abstract

The Grounding Systems should lead to earth the current of fault and the provoked currentsfor the lightning, which it behave like a wave of impulse and therefore the system is governedby their characteristic impedance.Under these conditions this impedance of setting to earth has a dynamic performance. Thispaper proposes a method of calculation based on the theory of the electric circuits that allowsto obtain the variation of this impedance, which it is a combination of two fundamentalcomponents, an impedance of connection and an impedance of propagation, whose combinationis the total impedance of the system. The obtained results, fundamentally as for the form ofvariation of that impedance, are similar to them obtained by other authors.
