Abstract

Se realizó una investigación evaluativa en 566 habitantes pertenecientes al área de salud del Policlínico Docente "28 de Septiembre" del Consejo Popular Altamira, de Santiago de Cuba, desde septiembre del 2007 hasta enero del 2008, con el objetivo de evaluar la calidad del servicio de vectores, teniendo en cuenta la satisfacción de los moradores por la lucha contra el Aedes aegypti. Se halló que la labor efectuada al respecto no logró el estándar establecido de más de 70 % en la zona y quedó demostrada la insatisfacción de los vecinos con la actividad ejecutada por los trabajadores de la campaña antivectorial.An evaluative investigation in 566 inhabitants belonging to the health area of the "28 de septiembre" Teaching Polyclinic of Altamira people's council was conducted in Santiago de Cuba, from September, 2007 to January, 2008, aiming at evaluating the vector service quality, taking into account the satisfaction of the inhabitants for the control against Aedes aegypti. It was found that the work done in this regard did not achieve the standard established of more than 70 % in the zone and the neighbor's insatisfaction was demonstrated with the activity conducted by the workers of the antivectorial campaign.
