Abstract

La entrevista abarca algunos años de vida y de producción fílmica de la artista paraguaya Paz Encina (Asunción, 1971), pero se concentra en sus cuatro largometrajes hasta 2023 que atañen a gestos de memoria. Hubo menciones a la reunión de las convicciones políticas con sus poéticas, mediante una gramática de la democracia en Latinoamérica y las provisiones estéticas que se le cargan. Es así en su obra Hamaca paraguaya (2006), Ejercicios de memoria (2016), Veladores (2020) y Eami (2022). En verdad, sumados a los videos, instalaciones y cortos, esas piezas de proporciones vultosas son como suites del desacuerdo entre las nacionalidades que habitan el territorio nacional al que Paz denomina con la suspicacia de un bardo como un país chiquito entre dos gigantes.
