Abstract

La warfarina es el anticoagulante oral más prescrito en Colombia y alrededor del mundo para el tratamiento de enfermedades de tipo cardiovascular. Su uso se dificulta debido a la amplia variabilidad de dosis (0,5-60 mg/dia) y al estrecho rango terapéutico. Resultados farmacogenéticos en una muestra poblacional de 191 pacientes de Antioquia sugieren que los polimorfismos de los genes fármaco-relevantes VKORC1 (-1639G/A y 1173C/T) y CYP2C9 (CYP2C9*1, *2 y *3), influyen considerablemente la dosificación del medicamento (P
