Unos cuantos vampiros colombianos

Abstract

El artículo considera el modo en que son representados los vampiros en cuatro obras recientes de la literatura colombiana, y para ello se divide en cuatro secciones. Primero, ofrece unas notas caracterizadoras de la figura del vampiro, y de su evolución en Occidente en los dos últimos siglos. En segundo lugar, analiza la imagen vampírica en relación con el eros y el agapé. En el tercer instante, examina la manera en que se aproximan al vampiro el libro Crónicas de vampiros de Fernando Romero Loaiza (1997), el cuento “Los ojos de la noche” de Andrés García Londoño (2009), y las novelas Vampyr (2009) y Vajda, príncipe inmortal (2012), ambas de Carolina Andújar. En la última sección, se proponen algunas conclusiones.
