BIOPODER E TANATOPOLÍTICA

Abstract

No presente estudo, examinamos a noção de biopolítica, conceito elaborado por Michel Foucault, em fins dos anos setenta, a fim de analisar os vínculos entre as relações de poder e a vida, entre os processos políticos e a gestão demográfica das populações. Consideramos, ademais, a apropriação dessa reflexão efetuada por Giorgio Agamben em Homo Sacer: o poder soberano e a vida nua (2002), obra que investiga as implicações da inserção “da vida nua na esfera política”, concebida, então, como “núcleo originário” do poder soberano.
