Abstract

Este ensayo estudia los relatos de viaje de Atahulapa Yupanqui al Japón, textos reunidos en 1977 bajo el título Del Algarrobo al Cerezo, Apuntes de un viaje por el país japonés. Se analiza el impacto del Japón en el imaginario folklórico de Yupanqui, y la influencia de su música en dicho país, que lo recibe por primera vez en 1964 y en donde realizará varias estancias prolongadas más con motivo de sus giras artísticas. La visión del Japón contemporaneo que trasuntan sus relatos, son puestas en perspectiva con otros testimonios de escritores e intelectuales argentinos en Japón, desde el viaje inaugural de Eduardo Wilde en 1897. Este trabajo propone un abordaje teórico imagológico.This essay addresses the stories of Atahualpa Yupanqui Atahulapa travel to Japan, texts collected in 1977 under the title From the Algarrobo to Cherry, Notes from a trip to the Japanese nation. We analyze the impact of Japan's artistic imagination in Yupanqui's folk, and the influence of his music in that country, which receives him for the first time in 1964 and where held several longer stays because of his artistic touring. The vision of contemporary Japan that inequalities reflecting their stories are put in perspective with other tokens of Argentine writers and intellectuals in Japan since the first voyage of Eduardo Wilde in 1897. This paper proposes a imagology theoretical approach.
