Intelectuales «satélites»

Abstract

Fernando Aínsa y Roger Caillois fueron dos intelectuales que actuaron como bisagras culturales entre el continente europeo y latinoamericano. Habiendo vivido en las dos orillas del Atlántico, los escritores fueron construyendo, a través de sus desplazamientos, redes trasatlánticas que funcionaron como mecanismos de circulación de transferencias culturales. Sus acciones por la difusión y promoción de autores provenientes de América Latina los llevaron a convertirse en mediadores. Actores en «segunda fila» cuya contribución en la historia de la producción cultural merece ser rescatada y puesta en perspectivas para recuperar los eslabones perdidos de la historia trasatlántica. Desde París, «capital de las letras», Aínsa y Caillois instauraron una pasarela de textos latinoamericanos a territorio europeo, sus contactos en el mundo editorial, la academia, las revistas y las organizaciones internacionales como la Unesco les permitió crear conexiones con revistas como Río de la Plata, América, El correo de la Unesco y vincularse a proyectos editoriales como la Colección Croix du sud, Obras representativas y Archivos, desde donde actuaron como «passeurs» de la literatura latinoamericana.
