Статья посвящена малоизвестным фактам жизни и благотворительной деятельности потомственного почетного гражданина города Киева Михаила Парфентьевича Дегтерёва. Рассматриваются истории основания и развития Киевской бесплатной Цесаревича Николая больницы для чернорабочих (сегодня – Национальная специализированная больница «ОХМАТДЕТ» )и благотворительных заведений М.П. Дегтерёва в г. Киеве. Акцентом статьи является раскрытие роли мецената в строительстве Амбулатории и хирурги- ческого барака. Проведен анализ завещания М.П. Дегтерёва в вопросе реализации проекта строительства благотворительных заведений на Лукьяновке в г. Киеве.
