PENGEMBANGAN MODUL IPA TERPADU BERBASIS KONTEKSTUAL DENGAN TEMA PEMBUATAN TAHU KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 2 JATIYOSO

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengembangkan modul; 2) mengetahui kelayakan modul; 3) mengetahui keefektifan modul untuk pembelajaran IPA terpadu berbasis kontekstual dengan tema pembuatan tahu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau research and development (R&D). Model pengembangan yang dipakai adalah model Four-D yaitu pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Penelitian ini diawali dengan penelitian pendahuluan berupa studi pustaka dan observasi lapangan yang dilanjutkan dengan menyusun draft modul I. Draft modul I divalidasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media, ahli bahasa, guru IPA, dan teman sejawat dan direvisi menjadi draft modul II. Draft modul II diujicobakan secara terbatas kepada 12 siswa untuk mengetahui keterbacaan dan respon siswa, kemudian direvisi menjadi draft modul III. Draft modul III diujicobakan di lapangan pada 32 siswa. Efektivitas modul dianalisis dengan uji t berpasangan. Modul kemudian disebarkan ke guru IPA untuk mendapat umpan balik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pengembangan modul IPA terpadu berbasis kontekstual menggunakan model Four-D yaitu pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran; 2) kelayakan modul hasil pengembangan dikategorikan sangat baik dilihat dari kelayakan isi, penyajian, bahasa, kegrafikan, dan pendekatan pembelajaran; 3) Hasil uji t berpasangan menunjukkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan rata-rata prestasi belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan modul IPA terpadu berbasis kontekstual. Uji gain score dihasilkan 67% menunjukkan modul IPA terpadu berbasis kontekstual dengan kategori memiliki efektivitas sedang dengan pencapaian KKM 93,75%.
