Síndrome de flujo vaginal en gestantes con embarazo gemelar

Abstract

Introducción: en estudios realizados en la provincia de Guantánamo se constató que existen varios estudios relacionados con el síndrome de flujo vaginal, pero con poco énfasis en la relación de este síndrome con el embarazo gemelar. Objetivo: con el objetivo de caracterizar el síndrome de flujo vaginal en gestantes con embarazo gemelar en el Hogar Materno Provincial “Cristina Pérez Pérez” de Guantánamo. Método: se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal durante el período desde enero de 2018 hasta marzo de 2019. Se tomó una muestra de 45 gestantes. Se estudiaron las variables siguientes: edad, procedencia, estado civil, antecedentes patológicos personales, causa y tratamiento. Resultados: se muestra un predominio de las gestantes menores de 35 años (n=34; 74,6 %) de procedencia urbana (n=20; 57,1 %) y sin antecedentes aparentes de salud (n=29; 82,9 %). La causa del síndrome de flujo vaginal más común fue la vaginosis bacteriana (n=19; 42,3 %). En cuanto a la respuesta al tratamiento el mayor número de gestantes tuvo una respuesta satisfactoria (n=37; 82,2 %). Conclusiones: el síndrome de flujo vaginal constituye un problema de salud que tiene múltiples implicaciones en las gestantes con embarazo gemelar por ser una de las causas de alto riesgo de prematuridad.
