Estudo sobre a dimensionalidade do teste R1 - Forma B Estudio sobre la dimensionalidad del test R1 - Forma B Studying the R-1 test - Form B unidimensionality

Abstract

The possibility of unidimensionality of R1-Forma B test was analyzed by the Rasch model through the principal residual component analysis. Seven hundred and forty-five students attending a course for young people and adults were investigated. All subjects, 50.3% were females and 48.3% males, age bracket 15 - 75 years old, showed schooling discrepancy or delay. Besides other aspects, results suggested that the R1 Test is not unidimensional and that total score is insufficient to describe the cognitive behavior used to solve the issue. However, analyses of factors 1 and 2 indicated unidimensionality. Other studies with different samples are suggested so that investigations may be amplified and deepened.
