COMPORTAMENTO DAS BILIRRUBINAS EM BOVINOS INTOXICADOS EXPERIMENTALMENTE PELO TETRACLORETO DE CARBONO BEHAVIOR OF BILIRUBINS IN BOVINES EXPERIMENTALLY SUBMITTED TO CARBON TETRACHLORIDE

Abstract

The present experiment was carried out with 16 and 18 month old cattle. The objective was to evaluate the liver performance in animals experimentally submitted to CCl4 toxicity through variation in the bilirrubin serum levels. It was concluded that, in the conditions the experiment was conducted, bilirrubin serum levels do not serve as an adequate hepatic lesion index and that further research should be made to clarify the subject.
