Abstract

Introducción: El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar las características de los pacientes atendidos en nuestra Uni- dad así como el porcentaje de abandono obtenido. Material y métodos: estudio retrospectivo y descriptivo de los pacientes atendidos en la Unidad de Tabaquismo del Hospital General Universitario de Ciudad Real desde Enero de 2016 a Junio de 2017. Resultados: Fueron atendidos un total de 347 pacientes (dos de ellos fueron excluidos del análisis al ser exitus durante el seguimiento). El 58,8% de los pacientes mostraron un grado moderado de dependencia a la nicotina (medida por el Test de Fagerström). El 62,3% de los pacientes iniciaron algún tipo de terapia para el abandono, de ellos se mantuvieron abstinentes al año el 56,3%.
