Minimasi Biaya Persediaan Batubara dengan Pendekatan Economic Order Quantity (EOQ)

Abstract

Studi kasus ini pada salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi semen sebagai produk utamanya. Proses produksi semen melalui beberapa tahapan pengolahan menggunakan mesin produksi yaitu Raw Mill, mesin Kiln, dan Cement Mill. Mesin Kiln merupakan mesin pembakaran yang menggunakan batubara sebagai bahan bakar utama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meramalkan permintaan batubara pada tahun 2020, menghitung pengendalian persediaan batubara menggunakan metode EOQ, dan menganalisis perbandingan biaya yang dikeluarkan menggunakan metode EOQ dan metode Min-Max. Peramalan permintaan batubara untuk 12 periode kedepan dilakukan menggunakan metode terpilih yang memiliki nilai error terkecil, dan telah melalui proses verifikasi data menggunakan metode Moving Range. Hasil peramalan jumlah permintaan batubara adalah sebanyak 1.619.496,38 ton. Selanjutnya, perhitungan pengendalian persediaan menggunakan metode EOQ menunjukan jumlah optimal pemesanan batubara sebesar 5.359,52 ton/pemesanan dengan frekuensi pemesanan sebanyak 303 kali, dan biaya persediaan yang dikeluarkan adalah sebesar Rp 626.281.848. Selanjutnya, Biaya persediaan yang dikeluarkan menggunakan metode Min-Max adalah sebesar Rp 2.739.420.137. Analisis perbandingan biaya menunjukkan selisih biaya persediaan antara metode EOQ dan metode Min-Max adalah sebesar Rp 2.113.138.289. Kata Kunci: Peramalan, Persediaan, EOQ, Min-Max, Batubara.
