
Se presenta el análisis de una serie prospectiva de cincuenta y dos pacientes sometidos a diferentes procedimientos de herniorrafia de coordinación bajo anestesia local potenciada. Se exponen los fundamentos anatómicos y farmacológicos, los criterios de selección de la muestra y los detalles de la técnica anestésica. Se destaca la factibilidad de ejecución de herniorrafia para cualquier topografia herniaria, pudiéndose completar una amplia variedad de reparaciones con buen confort intra y posoperatorio. Es una técnica anestésica que no aumenta la morbimortalidad, siendo ideal en la organización de programas de cirugia ambulatoria.
