Explorando el Potencial de la Economía Circular en el Sector de la Alimentación.

Abstract

La importancia de la economía circular (EC) se ha manifestado notoria en los últimos años. El objetivo de este estudio es analizar las aportaciones en EC en el sector alimentario en las dos últimas décadas. Se lleva a cabo un análisis bibliométrico de 768 investigaciones científicas procedentes de la Web of Science, desde 2009 hasta la actualidad. El estudio identifica áreas de oportunidades, orientaciones estratégicas y avances del conocimiento para la sostenibilidad alimentaria. Los resultados muestran un crecimiento exponencial. Ello corrobora el hecho de que la EC es una cuestión de debate actual y de interés para los investigadores y técnicos expertos del mundo, llegando a ser un punto crucial en los presupuestos de diversos países y empresas.
