
The presente study aims to critically analyze the recognition of foreign judgments in the new Brazilian Civil Procedure Code, highlighting the changes brought by the new legislation. The international judicial cooperation was emphasized in the new Code, which was made clear by the prevision of the institute called “direct aid” (“auxílio direto”), the detailed regulation of the recognition of foreign judgements, including the possibility of concession of interim measures and the recognition of foreign interim measures.
