Abstract

In der russischen Landwirtschaft entstehen jährlich ca. 250 Mio. t Trockenmasse an organischen Abfällen, die derzeit nicht sinnvoll verwertet werden. In manchen Regionen gehören auch Zuckerrübenschnitzel zu diesen Abfallstoffen. Durch eine Nutzung dieser Reststoffe zur Biogasproduktion könnten negative Umweltwirkungen reduziert und ein wichtiger Beitrag zum Erreichen der russischen Klimaschutzziele geleistet werden. Daher soll in diesem Projekt untersucht werden, ob eine Substitution von Maissilage durch Zuckerrübenschnitzel möglich ist. Dazu wurde ein einfacher Batch-Test aufgebaut und anschließend der Abbau der Inhaltsstoffe nach Weender, der Biogasertrag sowie die Abbaukinetik bestimmt. Der Gesamtabbau der Inhaltstoffe nach Weender betrug circa 40 % bei beiden Substraten. Jedoch wurde bei den Zuckerrübenschnitzeln ein 35,5 % geringerer Biogasertrag ermittelt, da es zu einem Abfall des pH-Wertes im Reaktor kam und damit zu einer Hemmung der Biogasbildung. Eine Substitution von Maissilage ist möglich, jedoch sollten Zuckerrübenschnitzel nur in Kofermentation mit anderen Substraten eingesetzt werden.
