ASSESSMENT OF CYTOKINE LEVEL IN BLOOD SERUM IN PREGNANT WOMEN WITH CHRONIC ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY

Abstract

Purpose of the study – to assess the content of cytokines IL-8, IL-1b and MCP-1 in the first trimester of pregnancy in women with chronic arterial hypertension. Materials and methods. The study included patients aged 18-45 years at 10-13 weeks of pregnancy. The main group – 46 pregnant women with chronic arterial hypertension (stage I hypertension), the control group – 30 healthy pregnant women. Cytokine levels were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results. The results of the study revealed that women with chronic arterial hypertension had statistically significantly lower levels of IL-8 and MCP-1. It has been established that in order to maintain trophoblast function, inflammatory processes in the intervillous space are weakened. Conclusion. The cytokine MCP-1 can be considered as a marker of the development of preeclampsia. Further study of its significance is necessary in a larger sample of patients and in correlation with other markers.
